Inside the BladeX Factory: Where Engineering Meets Precision

Factory Tour

01 / RAW MATERIALS

Structural integrity begins at the atomic level. We source premium Torayca T700, T800, and T1000 carbon fiber prepreg rolls, stored in a strictly climate-controlled environment to preserve resin chemistry and fiber compliance before processing.

RAW MATERIALS
PRECISION CUTTING

02 / PRECISION CUTTING

To minimize structural variance, raw prepreg sheets are cut using computerized CNC ply-cutters. This ensures each individual segment adheres to precise geometric specs, avoiding excessive material overlap and maintaining an optimal fiber-to-resin distribution.

03 / HAND-LAYERUP PROCESS

True engineering refinement cannot be automated. Our technicians hand-layer each ply inside the mold using our proprietary X-Matrix multi-angle protocol (0°/45°/90°). This intricate layering maximizes lateral tracking stiffness while retaining radial compliance to damp high-frequency road chatter.

COMPRESSION MOLDING

04 / COMPRESSION MOLDING

The layered composite is sealed in heavy steel molds and subjected to a rigorous temperature and pressure cycle. Under extreme compression, the resin flows uniformly through the matrix, eliminating micro-voids and maximizing consolidation density.

05 / CNC DIRECTIONAL DRILLING

Spoke holes are executed via high-speed, multi-axis CNC machinery. Directed by laser alignment, the drills machine each hole at specific 3D angles to match the exact hub flange geometry, reducing spoke fatigue and nipple binding under high tension.

06 / RADIAL & LATERAL TOLERANCE TEST

Metric Standards: Radial Runout (Roundness): ≤0.25mm,Lateral Runout (Trueness):≤0.20mm

Using high-precision mechanical dial indicators, every cured rim undergoes rigorous validation for both radial and lateral alignment. We enforce an uncompromising quality threshold: Radial Runout (Roundness) is held strictly within ≤0.25mm to eliminate vertical hop, while Lateral Runout (Trueness) is limited to ≤0.20mm. This microscopic precision guarantees stable high-speed tracking, uniform braking profiles, and flawless tubeless tire seating.

07 / INFLATING TEST

High-Pressure Loaded Standard: Trueness ≤ 0.25mm @ 130 PSI

To ensure absolute structural stability under real-world riding conditions, our validation protocol subjects the rim to extreme pneumatic stress. A tire is mounted and inflated to an intense pressure of 130 PSI. Under this massive compressive load, we measure the rim variance again on the truing stand. The wheelset must maintain a loaded Trueness of ≤ 0.25mm to pass final qualification. This rigorous process guarantees that your wheels remain perfectly straight, true, and predictable under the most demanding tire pressures and cornering forces.

Non-compliant rims

08 / QUALITY DISPOSAL & ZERO TOLERANCE

Transparency means showing how we handle failure. Rims that deviate from our strict engineering tolerances or fail the 130 PSI stress test are instantly rejected. Non-compliant rims are physically compromised or structural components are marked for destruction to ensure they never enter the assembly pipeline. Only perfect blanks proceed forward.

09 / HAND REFINE & POLISHING

Every rim undergoes precision hand-polishing. Technicians carefully refine the bead hooks and valve interfaces to eliminate any microscopic composite flashings, ensuring a smooth finish that allows tires to lock in perfectly under strict safety limits.

MASTER WHEEL BUILDING

10 / MASTER WHEEL BUILDING

A world-class rim requires master-level assembly. Our wheelsets are 100% hand-built exclusively by master builders with over a decade of elite wheel-building experience. Subjected to a rigorous stress-relieving process, we balance spoke tension variance to within ±5%, ensuring the wheel stays straight and true straight out of the box.
