The Story: From Engineering Roots to Carbon Innovation

BladeX Bicycle was born from an obsession with precision. Back in 2011, our founder, Jason Xiang—a former software engineer—partnered with Paul Zhang, a master engineer who had spent years at the forefront of Xiamen’s carbon composite industry.

While Paul was busy perfecting the science of carbon prepreg, production yields, and machine efficiency, Jason was busy bridging the gap between high-end manufacturing and global riders. We were among the first pioneers to bring professional-grade carbon wheels directly to enthusiasts via early e-commerce platforms.

Over the last 15 years, we have operated as the “factory behind the factory,” focusing entirely on perfecting our manufacturing consistency for partners worldwide.

The BladeX Philosophy

By 2025, we felt it was time to step out of the shadows. We realized that the industry didn’t need another generic brand pushing mass-market parts—it needed a partner that understands the rider’s experience.

At BladeX Bicycle, our approach is simple:

  • Engineering First: We don’t just assemble wheels; we obsess over the technical details—from layup schedules to rotational inertia.
  • Rider-Driven Development: We believe the best product managers aren’t sitting in an office; they are out on the road. We actively listen to our community to ensure every wheelset we build serves a real-world purpose.
  • Transparency: We are an open book. From our carbon material choices to our manufacturing protocols, we believe that an informed rider is a better rider.

Our Commitment to You

We are not here to sell components; we are here to build wheels that feel like they were designed by the people who ride them. Whether you are a weekend warrior or a competitive racer, our goal is to provide you with equipment that looks great, performs exceptionally, and inspires confidence every time you clip in.
